The story takes place in a creature world. The main character Alphie discovers he is gay and has to come to terms with it in order to be truly happy. I struggled with coming out and that was due to everyday reminders that I had to be a certain way.I was never told it was okay to be queer, if I knew that at a younger age I wouldn’t have struggled as much. The purpose of this book is to provide a resource for younger audiences to engage with in order to help them understand that being queer is not a bad thing. This will hopefully provide a different perspective to those who need it.
